If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small. Proverbs 24:10

There has never been a meaningful life built on easy street. A purposeful Life seems to always be fashioned and formed out of the obstacles that seem unbearable. For believers, adversity is intended to build character. And the bible is clear that we should rejoice in Adversity!

Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. James 1:2-4

I have not learned a single lesson, been inspired, or impacted by another person’s life, void of negative experiences. However, I have learned from those who have been tried and tested…on the verge of giving up. Despite all of life’s setbacks, these brave individuals continue to pursue life with a passion and determination that I have deemed honorable and worthy of emulating.

Reader, do not fret! If you are in the middle of negative circumstances that seem to be getting the best of you, recognize these circumstances are tutors for your bright and prosperous future. In short, life’s greatest lessons come from adversity. Do not despise your instruction…embrace it!

For some negative circumstances may be the loss of a job, divorce, the death of a loved one, betrayal of a friend or an incurable illness. In my life I have faced many negative circumstances. I must admit, that I have learned more from negative experiences than I have ever learned from positive ones. I’ve also learned more from my failures than I have ever learned from my successes…more from my pains than all my gains. For myself, the key has been turning life’s negative circumstances into personal advancements, or better yet, into POWER.

In order to produce electricity…it takes a negative and a positive. When you connect the negative and positive you produce power. Life is this way. It takes a negative circumstance and a positive experience to produce POWER!

This is why we must place value on our negative experiences. Do not disregard life’s negative circumstances…you can use them to produce power! You can turn life’s negative experiences into a positive advancement. Your negative circumstances should not be viewed as the problem, but as part of the process of developing you into the person God intended for you to become!

A strong leader will ALWAYS use negatives circumstances to their advantage. They have discovered the secret of combining their negative circumstances and positive experiences to produce their own personal POWER!

NEGATIVE + POSITIVE = POWER

We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; 2 Corinthians 4:8-9
